The association Grain d’Image organizes projects around the photography, creates a dynamics of cultural exchange without boundaries and promotes the photographic art.

The association is the organizing body of many events in our region. The most important one is The Boutographies - Rencontres photographiques de Montpellier, photographic meeting of the young emerging european talents. Each year, from June to November, potential exhibitors are sought via our applications system. A jury composed of professionals concerned with the image selects fifteen works to be exhibited, and a further fifteen to be projected.

Partnerships have been put in place with various French and foreign photographic events (the Month of the Photo Off in Paris, Voies Off in Arles, Fotoleggendo in Rome), and have already led to a number of exchanges and collaborations.

Featured artists : Romain Mader & Nadja Kilcchofer, Olivier Lovey, Heiko Tiemann, André Lützen, Mario Brand, Emanuele Brutti, Birte Kaufmann, Michel le Belhomme, Laurence Rasti, Cyril Costilhes, Alvaro Deprit, Christian Lutz
